i am going to inherit my brothers crx. i am gonna through b18 in, what do i need to know? im going to get new motor mounts and new axles. do i need a new shift linkage? i was wondering if it was possible to have a/c or power steering also? would 2000 usdm type r calipers fit on a crx w/ 15" rims? what are the best aftermarket axles for crx's? and what are the best/widest wheel/tire size(s) and offsets for daily driving? thanks guys.
damn buddy... you need to use the search button on the top right
first off all, are you going through a b18 or are you going to throw a b18 in your crx? I can't help you go through one but if you are going to throw one in your car you will need different motor mounts for a b series engine into a crx and you can probably use 90-93 axles.
i think you can have a/c and probably power steering but most crx's dont have power steering and that would be a waste to add.
Biggest wheel size for street would be 205/40/16.

Doubt it, totally different... everything... on the calipers also.
And for the axles question, how much power we gonna make?

1. Yes, you will need a modified shift linkage. You can buy one or make it yourself from a 90-93 Integra shift linkage.
2a. You can retain you AC, but you have to get an aftermarket AC braket to mate your compressor to the new engine.
2b. CRX's did not come with power steering, but I'm sure you can add it if you want. A waste of time if you ask me.
3. The ITR calipers will not bolt up to the CRX. Now I have heard you can mix and match some parts to make it fit. From what I've heard this is what you do.
Get some 91 Civic Ex knuckes. Get some prelude rotors, and re-drill them to fit the civic 4 lug. Get some Accord wagon calipers (same as ITR) and bolt them on. Now I don't know for sure if they fit the 15" rims, but I assume they would.
Later.
