jw. im going to have about 5000 to work with. b16 rex's out here are less then 4K so i figure i can have some nice money for some mods. or i can get an eg coupe for about 4000 but without a b16. and id only have about 1000 left + summer money as it comes.
what would u choose?

thats a toss up, depends what you're really looking for. best bang for the buck? I love my CRX cuz its a cult classic car.

buy a shell ... buy new bushings .. have them installed .. still got about 3500.. build a motor .. and with your last 20 bucks fill that bitch up with gas.

Agreed. Your dollar will go longer if you buy a car w/out a swap and then do the work your self...but I guess that depends what your goals are. When you do buy a car don't just buy it 'cause you can't find anything, hold out untill you find what you want and like. It took me a while to find my hatch but it was worth getting something that I specifically wanted.

I would say .... Get the CRX. In all of the cars that I have driven, the CRX, in my opinion, is still the funnest car to drive. That and it can do a U-turn on a residential street

u could park a crx in a mailbox if needed, fits anywhere...
but not as nice of an engine bay as the eh/eg series

id stay 4 gen...i now have a 94 tegLS (used to have a 4gen with ZC) sure it rides nice,gets girls, but it has no character. my girl has a 89 civic LX, i drive it more than the teg. to me 4 gens are perfect.
one of my favorite thing about the 4gens is the windsheild, you can see EVERYTHING.

If I had 5,000 dollars for a car CRX or EG, I would probably get a CRX because they look neater and would like to have one. Pay about 1,500 for it then use the rest for engine stuffs

Get the CRX.....everyone and their mother has an EG tricked out.....CRX's are getting harder and harder to find as time goes on.......I'm on my 2nd CRX Si and I love it.....I've had thoughts of getting a EG hatch, but can't bring myself to do it......nice thing about the EG tho.....b series+turbo and u can still run a/c and ps if u have it

As I just posted in another thread. I would buy a clean (perfect body) crx for 5000 without a motor in it. Its basically impossible to find a crx with a perfect body nowadays.

get an ef hatchback!!! well I love both my eg6 and ef9... but it depends on your goals and of couse your budget.... I would not trade the ef9 for anything.. not even if you gave me 10k.. (my car is not even worth that) but I would sell my eg like that... I got ef love.... as for the rex.. I didnt like it too much due to being so small.. that is why i opted for the hatch

wow guys ya i have been in such a bundle thinking about it. ive been looking at pictures and man i love the egs. but the rex has something to it, i cant really explain it. the only thing is out here where all the rich kids live they all have intergras and eks all nice. its kinda sad to be driving an 80's civic. i dunno, i can hear the flames comming now, no matter how nice it is. im in a bind.

i see EGs everywhere here....
like a plague
but not really....you can make them look nice and all but i don't think i would go for an EG now that i have a 91 hatch....
i would still love a crx but they are few and far between for a good price here...
but yeah....you can make a clean looking crx...it's harder to do than an EG, but i think, more rewarding
