Default Fuel Guage faulty

I've got a 94 accord ex....just recently, the fuel guage has been really faulty...on fillups it wont read full, probably a half. Regularly, it fluctuates between just above half and almost empty.

Is this a problem with the fuel sending unit? How could I diagnose and maybe replace whats involved?

TIA!

either the sending unit, bad connection, or if you installed your guage faces yourself, then you could have accidentally nudged the needle and messed like i did, and mine does not work and then you have to use the idiot light indicator to tell how much gas you have

nooooooo...i've never even touched the guages...so it must be the fuel sending unit then? How expensive are these and can I replace it myself?

dunno bout price, but it should be relatively simeple, chilton + fuel sending unit + afternoon = done but get the chilton book first for your car and reaserch it a bit, shouldnt be too big of a problem..
