anyone dyno aftermarket headgasket?
have any of you guys dyno'ed an aftermarket headgasket...the ones that bump compression ratio up by .3-.4 pts. I've always heard the general rule was about 10% increase in power/torque for every pt....just wondered if any of you verified the gains on a dyno? I'm thinkin about getting a mugen or spoon headgasket.
You are retarding your cams 1 or 2 degrees (lost power essentially) unless you adjust your aftermarket cams (if you have any) to make up for the shorter head gasket.
So, to get the most out of the headgasket, you need to have adjustable cams; you might not see much difference at all on an otherwise stock motor.

He means adjustable cam gears, in case it was not obvious.
