OT: Heinous Irony...
Well, here is my first published work for something other than my college newspaper. I find it pretty amusing that I was chosen to write on this subject.
This is the story from the news conference I posted about the other day, when I talked to Greg Ray and Volvo guy.

As of now, 1782 people have taken the poll attached to it. I would love it if you guys would all take it

double post?

Edit/addition:
And you can only vote for one?
There are roads on which I speed (it's dangerous not too!), and there are times when I'll eat (open highway, light traffic).. I wouldn't classify either of these "bad driving habits" since I it is not a casual decision to do either of these for me. Hmm.. maybe I'm using the same sort of rationalizations the street racers use..
One big difference-- "red mist" doesn't enter into either process for me (exceeding the speed limit to keep up with traffic or eating while driving)
What about dangerous activities like *GASP* changing the radio station or *SHUDDER* checking the water temp and oil pressure gages..

This is infuriating.
This is infuriating.
Why is it so infuriating? While it doesn't apply to everyone, it said they are "in most need" meaning they are making a generalization based on valid statistics.
"...and drive while experiencing intense frustration."
hahaha. Someone's been spying on me. Although Gandhi would probably experience intense frustration driving in the DC area.
37% admitted to using cell phones. Man, there are some lyin' a** people out there. I bet it's closer to 80% (I however, am the last American who doesn't even own a cell phone, let alone use one in the car).
I took the poll, but agree with MechE00, some things aren't necessarily bad habits. I might eat a candy bar, but only at red lights. And speeding isn't necessarily a bad habit - depends on the road/your car/tires(heheh)/etc.
[Edit: And congratulations on your article]

you are right, its not "infuriating." It was a word choice used for effect. I was merely expressing my frustration at the driving habits of seniors.
And the phrase "in most need" certainly does not mean that the seniors based their opinions on statistics. You are taking it out of context. Please reread.

I sent the article to my editors with no mistakes. Between it leaving my desk in DC, and appearing on the Dayton Daily News' website, 2 major errors appeared in it.
