Somebody better buy that thing now...

If I hadn't just put a cage in my car I would absolutely buy it. Shell + cage + seat/steering/other little bits is worth a lot more than 2k.

Well damn. That guy bought it out from under me last year. It doesn't look like has done a thing to it.

Now is your chance to do 'something' with it.

Wow. What a deal. You can barely buy a welded cage for 2k. If I had the dough, I'd own it. Trust me.

The little stuff could start adding up though... bumper, radiator, it looks like the main harness may be missing, shift linkage, rotors, brakes...

Might look good suspended from the ceiling of the new "World Challenge Cafe".

the definition of a race car right? I still maintain that if someone were set on building an H1 car, this would be a better start than the overpriced EG shells out there.

Money pit? yes - good deal for the collection of parts that it is? yes

Your car was a pit too John... you just dumped the majority of your money in all at once...

Yeah.. your right.

I was thinking about the shell a little more and it could be a good starting place for somemone. EG shells are nuts..... some want big coin for 10+ year old Civics.

1,500-2,000 would be a far/ good deal for the shell and cage.

It just looks like a TON of work.

EGs go for like 3K or so with really high miles...at least around here.

That's not such a bad deal.

I bought an EG about a year and a half ago, drove it for a year, and sold it for a little more than I paid for it. It's insane what's happening to the price of them.

If I had mine to sell today, I'd get more than I got two years ago. Of course there are 2-3 Si's in the lot where I live -- all driven by older ladies and codgers who have no idea their old, econo-honda is worth 1/2 its 1994 retail value :sigh:

Hmm...

It wouldn't be too bad. I'd probably just buy another salvaged EG roller that has most of the parts, and move everything you need over, until you can afford to start upgrading it.
