Default Just in case no one has seen bad AEM brake pads.

These are AEM brake pads with 2 years plus and about 15,000 miles including a whole season of autocross.

Enjoy

I did not know there was such a thing as "good" AEM brake pads.

I smoked a set of 'em after one day at Streets of Willow Springs.

Went from brand new to 2 or 3mm of pad left, cracked/chipped away at the edges.

Switched to Porterfield R4S up front, and the rears got smoked at the next track day so I switched the R4S at the rear.

Finally I had enough of the R4S (too much fade at the end of the day) and switched to Ferodo DS3000 pads from Andie @ Cobalt Friction (awsome service!) for the fronts (the rear R4S seem to be pretty happy). But eventually I'll go to the GT-R Spec pads from the recommendations I've recieved...

AEM: Good street pad, bad track pad... R4S would be a better pic for more spirited driving.

my AEM rears vaporized in 40 minutes at Summit. Went from 3/4 there to dead past the squealers...didn't really fade, but NO stamina.

cheap tho.

I don't know if they crystalized, the pads felt fine except for some fading at times. I never pulled them out before until I changed them and they still had alot of meat on them.
