Default ABS Ghost!

Hey Guys,

1997 Honda Accord EX Coupe

Last night I posted that my ABS Light would come on and off well I checked my fluids and clean my wheel sensors and it is still coming on and off intermitently and when it does it turns my stereo on and off...??? :/ Here is the catch it will only come on and off if I decelerate from 0-45mph and it will just come on and then go off. I tried to get a code by jumping the blue ecu code plug under the passenders dash but it just shuts off? I took out my abs ecm and blew it out because when the light blinks on and off I believe I hear a clicking I believe in or around the abs ecm. Do you think it may be a bad ecm that is causing this because I made sure that there was no stereo equipment not correctly grounded or anything? I am in a rock and a bad spot I might have to take it into the shop because it is driving me f-ing crazy. let me know what you think?

Thanks
Joe

I don't believe you can pull codes in a 96+ accord w/o an OBDII checker but I might be wrong. You can't just use a paperclip like in the 95 and below.

What do the axles have to do with it, im kinda curious, cause mine came on around the time when my cv boots opened up and i just replaced both axles instead of trying to rebuild the joint since i let it go to long. My ABS light is always on, comes on a few seconds after starting the car. This is in a 94 Accord EX, dont mean to jack your thread man but that light strikes a sour note with me since my last car had the same problem too.

Default To everyone who posted THX :)!

I found the problem. When I bought my car the person had a sub that was installed and he had a two channel sub running the rear speakerds and the sub and then he ran the power of of one of the *hot* brake wires that power up the tail lamps. LOL needless to stay i put it back to stock and problem solved! Now i have to reinstall the amp and sub the RIGHT way to get my bumps back LOL..

TypeSH so what does that have to do with installing new axles, as long as you use the axles for models with ABS you still get the markings, so why would that affect it?

LOL you gotta love the stuff previous owners have done to our cars.

The axles I got from driveshaftshop had one abs ring that the sensors would not read. Had to put the stock ring on that side.

BTW, PM me and I can help you figure out what code you light is on for.
