KYB or other aftermarket shocks ?
Sorry to post this in 2 forums but I need a reply.
When you installed the fronts did you let the shock go into the wishbone until it hit the brake line brackets like the stock shock or do you leave some room. I had both in only as far as the dimple in the shock and when driving the right front one slipped further into the wishbone all the way up to the brake line brackets. Info from anyone is helpful and I hope it doesn't sound like rambling.

When I did mine (GSR) and followed the manual, I aligned the tab ( I assume that's the dimple you're talking about) w/ the little slot in the fork. Those tabs fall right into a little slot that faces the inside. I sounds like you possibly didn't align that before tightening. By tightnening the self locking nut there wouldn't be any room for the shock to fall down further, b/c that tightens the area . Did you tighten it w/ the car in the air or on the ground? Hope that helps some.
As far as shocks, I never had KYB AGX but it's generally known as a good budget shock. Do a search and you''ll read lots of +ve things about them. I have Bilsteins, but for my car they only make the HD. For the R they make the Bilstein sports which are valved stiffer, but still non-adjustables . You can check this site to get Bilsteins even made adjustables if you wanna spend the $$:
