Default ZC Tranny Questions

Also on the quest to research all swap options...

If I go with a ZC engine and ZC Tranmission, what axle setup do I need to use for my 90 Si... I have heard 2 stories.... 1 story being that the 86-89 Integra Axles are too short and fall out, and that the 90-93 Integra Axles are too long and will bend. Any answers are appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Does anyone here run a ZC transmission with their ZC swap ? What do you think of it ?

Most people say just a set of 90-93 Teg axles. According to http://www.zcspeed.com "Many people have reported using 90-93 integra axles with no problems, however, ZCspeed recommends a 90-93 integra left axle with a 1985 Honda Accord SE-i 5spd Right axle. The Accord axle is one-half inch longer than the integra axle, eliminating problems with the axle coming apart when the wheel is turned all the way to the right." I'm getting ready to do a ZC swap, so I would like anyone else input on this. Do I need the Accord axle?

The 90-93 teg shafts will work just fine. Sometimes you need to remove the dust-shield on the hub. I only had to remove the passengers side. Others had to remove both sides while still yet some people didn't have to remove them at all. The zc tranny is nice (no torque steer) but the best set-up is the zc/si hybrid where you install the final drive from the SI tranny. This is a great set-up for drag and not to bad if you don't do alot of high speed highway driving, The rpm's can get rather high at speeds of 80 mph+

I agree, I am running the ZC Trans with my ZC Swap, but I am using R-Axles Setup....Havent had any problems so far. Have yet to get to an Auto X Event this year since I went away from the DX Trans. The R-Axles are a bit expensive but with a Life Time Breakage Warentee you cant go wrong
