Default 5th gen with WW Type-W

This is directed to those of you who have or had this kit on your ride.

Havent installed the kit yet and this is why.

I curently have Tein SS with a drop of about 2-2 1/4 (pretty much slammed)
and sitting on a set of 215/40/17 yoko paradas.

Just wanted to know how much of a drop you guys have and tire size.
Thanks.

i had it on my 5th gen, and it fit fine. i had it on apexi N1's not too slammed, but low enuf, with 18's , and 17 and everything was cool. you shouldnt have anythign to worry about.
do you already have the kit itself, becasue if you do not, i still have mine that i do not want anymore. let me know if you have anymore ?'s

I had that lip with a 2.2f/2.0r drop on stock 15's. I scraped that lip everyday. Sold it and got a mugen replica lip, I only scuff it once in awhile. The type w lip was a nice lip but it didnt look right without the side skirts and rear skirt to compliment it imo.

yeah, i already have the kit just haven't installed it yet.
wanted to figure out what needed to be done before i installed.
as far as going with bigger sized tires and hieght adjust.

Still have to get it painted. should paint then install or install then paint?
not that big of a deal i guess.

and Len2, why would you get a front lip without skirts and rear lip?

thanks for the feedback guys.

You should probally look for a set of coilovers that way you will be able to adjust it to the right height and not worry about scrapping it as much.

well when i had the type w lip i got a good deal on it and was planning on getting the rest of the kit but then i changed my mind. so yeah i got the mugen replica lip because it doesnt hang as low as the type w did and i think its looks good with just a front lip.

oh and id test fit your kit and take it off to get it painted. rockin a kit without the paint looks ghetto imo.

225/40/18's and a 3" Koni drop with the full w-Typ kit. Not a problem at all, Just need to be careful going into parking garages and certain driveways etc..
