Odd tire wear?
I was working on my car today and noticed the front tires (which had recently been rotated from the rear) had some odd wear. The inner part of the tire isn't worn more than the outer part but has high spots and low spots as you go the circumfrence of the tire. The outer part of the tire is fine.
Are my shocks worn? I have tokico illumina's that have about 45k worth of miles on them.

When was the last time you rotated your tires. What you described sounds like your tires are cupping. This happens if you don't rotate your tires enough. It will going away with the tires being on the front but it will take time.
What Ein is decribing does sound like cupping/scalloping. Check for weak/worn shock absorbers, check wheel bearings, check wheel balance , and maybe even the balljoints.
I guess that is what it's called, cupping/scalloping? I'm pretty sure my wheel bearings are bad, because it requires more effort to rotate my wheels than on my friend's integra and also when I jacked up one wheel in the air and put it in gear, my left wheel make a slight whirring sound. Hell when I'm driving around the city, I get this whirring sound that actually vibrates my car as I brake down to a certain speed.
I also probally do have shock problems too... I thought those Tokico's w/ their lifetime warranty wouldn't go out so quickly, but my ride is pretty rough and I've noticed alot of increased sway.
Better replace the balljoints too I guess just to be safe and my tires are old anyhow, so I need to replace them... damn that's alot of money. Everything falls aparts as you hit 100k...
Thanks for the replies so far.
