Nice a Canadian!
Here's what you do:
buy a 90-91 CRX
install B16a, fully built to support 18psi
install T3/04 full drag kit, and everything to go along with it
there you go, low 12's!
Don't forget bout seats, and all the goodies...$20,000? good god...there's unlimited possibilities of what you could actually start with. I would invest in some research before you know what you are really getting into. I have a friend that blew 15000 on his CRX and all he has is a race bred CRVTEC that's redicoulous, but looks like crap.
All I can say is learn, learn learn, pretend your about to do a huge exam and learn the ways of honda so you don't end up being a 20000 ricer!

holy crap...is 20K your budget? if so then that is unbelievable...i recently put together a dream parts list including engine, suspension, exterior + interior and its rubbing up against 19K...and thats for my 89 Civic 4dr...
thats what you need to do, sell your sedan and get an 88-91 Sedan, you still get to keep all your doors and have an amazing sleeper platform that could easily be put in the low 12's for 20K...no questions asked

$20k is a HUGE amount of money to work with for a Civic/CRX. I think my car, parts only, cost at most half of that and that includes all the maintenance items for the six-year period I've owned it for
ok, lets say i get a 1990 crx, wut would i do with it, remembring im a begginer at this, so plz speak in terms i understand

1st you would have to get an education about cars then to help you out...i would do a motor swap...a integra GSR motor or an impreza motor like ur friend...then i would do some bolt ons like intake headers exhaust or you could just go the forced induction route at 1st and build your motor and get a turbo kit....but for some reason i think your dreaming. i dont beleive you have 20k as a 15 year old....i was there 3 years ago and trust me....save this post you made and go back and look at it 5 years from now and laugh at it cuz its kinda funny...well you could also search on the top right corner and see what other people have done

start with a full paint job and body work, get a b-series motor (b16a, b17, b18b, b18c1,b18c5) get new rods, pistons, seals, and other things to build it up to handle alot of boost (turbo). Find a nice , high boost turbo kit, and other engine accesories. Get some nice wheels, brake upgrade, steal braided brake lines, some nice bride racing seats, mugen front and rear bumper, true coilovers, and its good.
It's called CANADIAN DOLLARS not U.S... IF YOU WOULD READ! PerformanceBiltz is based out in Canada not the United States.. so the prices you see on there are Canadian.
Everybody has an opinion on this board..... so here is mine too!
Plan A: Get a type R swap and beat all of you friend's civs and be done with it. You'll still have enough money for interior and wheels, plus a reliable car.
Or
Plan B: Save your money, sell the civ, and buy a WRX or something fast.

i was thinking, maybe ill sell the car, save my money and buy a 3000gt (used), rice it up a bit, get some nicer seats, and a few little adjustements,
i think i can do good for $20,000 like that
