I searched but couldnt find any help (antenna problem on 5th gen accord)
i have a 1994 honda accord ex, and when i turn off the radio the motor for the antenna is working, but the actual antenna wont go down. i think i might just replace it with another one, does anyone have experience taking the mast off of the outside?
Yeah, I had to replace my antenna already. It is not very hard to replace. If you buy another one (either OEM or aftermarket equivalent), the kit will supply the special wrench needed to remove the cap nut on the outside of the antenna. Disconnect the eletrical connection, undo a few bolts and it comes out very easy. Just install you new one in reverse order.
thanks for the help, i am gonna go get one at a junkyard or on ebay, if it doesnt come with a special wrench, does anyone have a picture of one? thanks so much!
i know it sounds dumb, my accord coupes, 94's, neither have antenna's, i guess its integrated, but why would they do that on the coupe and not the 4dr?
