Default question about mini me (dont mean to beat a dead horse )

i just picked up my 3rd ef hatch and i have a sohc zc motor in my shed that i was gona drop in it since the car burns oil. i did a search on the mini me setup but have a few questions that i wasnt realy clear on. 1st if my friend is going to give me a z6 head for free . i want to know if the head is all i need since i have all the si stuff already (i.e intake manifold, header and the ignition setup) im thinking all i would need to buy is some head studs and a new gasket to slap that head on...if i need more than that let me know... any info will be helpful

The only other thing you need is a way to activate vtec and deal with the fuel map during vtec (like an Apex'i V-AFC).

Will the Z6 head bolt onto the SOHC ZC? I haven't seen many posts that discuss SOHC ZC's much less making them a mini-me.

yes the Z6 head will bolt on to the ZC block, and it'll give you a wack of compression. I believe the Z6 head is better due to the bigger valves and ports...but don't quote me....

As long as this thread is open id like to know if this will work. i am going to convert my car to obd 1 and since the y8 is obd 2 i cant use all its parts. ill be using y8 head with a z6 cam and a z6 ecu. z6 inejctors and z6 dist. so i can have the high compression y8 with all the obd1 components. am i right or is there an easier way?
