take a look at the r in that link...can someone tell me which is the original strut bar and which is the knock off...theres a pic of the front one and a pic of the rear one....reason why i ask is i orderd a knock off set of itr strut bars...and mines are identical to the one you see up front..the goldish color bar with the brownish color end pieces..but i was under the assumption the real ones where polished aluminium like the rear one they show...please enlighten me....thanks

 

the rear and front look the same to me. Both originals.

there two different colors....front looks goldish...rear is more of the polished aluminium

 

It is all in the lighting. The front is not goldish.

Even the fake ones are aluminum.

 

yeh i know...my knock offs are also..but mines look more like the color of the front one that u claim is the lighting that makes it look goldishin color

 

It is the lighting. Look at everything else in the pic.

You say you have knock offs but you say yours are also goldish. Are you saying your knockoffs are goldish? If so, where did you get them?

Edit: To tell if the bar is real or fake, you have to look at the sticker and/or look at the inside of the bar.

 

yes mines are a goldish color...i ordered them from a company that i found on ebay..aspec i think it was...70 bucks for both...inside the bar is not completely hollow..reinforcement bars run thru it ..so from the side view u see 2 or 3 thin bars to reinforce it...as for the sticker....just says "type R"

 

why does he have an ADR sticker with the stock rims on his car? and he only have 3000miles on it or is it an old pic?

If that car only has 3XXX miles then that's a steal.

 

The front bar just looks like it's a different colour. But I think it's just the reflection off the underside of the PY hood.

 

yes u found the advertisement of the bar...when i saw them i was like i"ll order them and sand that color of and paint them cause 70 bucks didnt seem bad for the set...i got them and there nothing of that color...look nothing like the pic. as in color of the bar or end brackets

 

That's too bad. A lot of cheap stuff you get off ebay or anywhere else may not come as described.

painting it black was my intentions when i saw the ad...but when they came i saw them and was like...wtf...i like the color..a gold aluminium color not painted...by the way whats the difference in the inside of the bar and the sticker seperating the real from fake...wish i hada digi to show u what im talking about....i als saw a white gsr with the same bar as the one i have in the cosmetic/appearance forum...dont remeber who it belonged to though....for it to be a knock off..it were the polished aluminium color...i dont think there will be a difference...
