Is this a good deal on a '94 gsr?? long..
Hey, I'm new here and would like a little input from some of you guys
I found a 1994 GS-R for sale for 6,000 and 96k miles on it....
It has two small dents in the hood and needs a new front bumper(its cracked) are the only things wrong with it...
its black
Its has a type-r wing
altezza tails(gen 1)
sidemarkers
clear corners
skunk2 coilovers w/ tokico shocks
AEM CAI
and 17" konig toxxins
now back to my question...is that a good deal with it just needing a front bumper? and I wonder how hard it would be to find a new front bumper for this car.... pics are on the link on my post below

yeah that sounds like a really good deal, are u sure the bumper needs to be replaced? can it just be repainted? if u do need to replace it u can chck out http://www.thepartstrader.com for a cheap one, people are always sellign their stock stuff cheap, later
I have a black 96 bumper for sale...needs a new emblem. It doesn't have to be repainted but you would probably want to. It just has like rock chips and stuff. Make me an offer. I'm not really sure how much to sell it for.
That's an excellent deal. Just make sure it hasn't been ragged to death by the previous owner...er that might be the reason why he's selling so low?
Good luck.
Good luck.
Yeah, that's a very low price to be selling a modified GS-R for.
I would take it to an Acura dealership to have it checked out thoroughly before you buy it. Make sure they do a compression test on the motor.
It'll cost you a few bucks, but you can make sure this guy isn't some punk trying to pass his tired hunk of **** off on you.

i would look around some more and find another GSR with lower miles.
u may pay some more but l feel that car has been beat up some.
if the seller really cared about that car, it would be immaculate.
i have 98k on my GSR and i still get compliments on how well its maintained

Thanks for the advice...I'll defintely have an acura dealer do a diagnostic test and everything on it before I buy...any reccomendations for body kits...I've seen a few I like Kaminari and a few others, anyone else know any that look good on g3 tegs?
if i were to get a body kit -id look at the black widow bumper, or buy the one a couple of replies up and get an ITR front lip
Yes, it is.
Jump on it now, as long as the title is clean and there aren't any liens on it. If there is something wrong, you can replace it. Sure it costs money, but you probably would have ended up upgrading that part anyway. you are paying dirt are paying DIRT money for it. Just like my buddy who found a STOCK '94 LS w/210,000 miles on it for about $3500. A GSR for $6000 with half the mileage is a sweeter deal. If you don't like the wheels, Altezzas or R spoiler, I'm sure someone would be willing to trade you their stock parts and throw a little cash in too...

btw I put up a crappy 5 minute page but it serves the purpose of showing the car...
so if anyone wants to see pics of it it go to http://jc2k2.homestead.com

Don't go off buying a body kit right after you buy the car. Save your money for a few months, in case some other things pop up that need to be fixed. Things that the seller "Forgot" to tell you.
Well I did a carfax report and got some interesting new....the car does have a salvage title....I figured it would tho with the damage to the front bumper...but carfax also reports an Odometer rollback of 29,713 miles which would bring total mileage on the car to around 124k.....How accurate is carfax about that kinna stuff..What do you guys think I should do?
When Carfax has something that bad to say, it's usually accurate.
Salvage title and an odometer rollback really hurt the price, plus, with the rollback, I'd never trust that car again. Combine the bumper, the dents, and the salvage and rollback (it takes a lot more than a cracked bumper to make a salvage title, my `94 GSR has a replaced bumper and is clean titled), and you have to almost pity that `Teg for being treated so poorly by former owners/sellers. My advice...Leave it be, and keep on shoppin'.
