Default no spark, need help

I've got an 89 hatch with a d16z6 in it. It ran for about 20 miles then went out on me. I thought it was something in the distributor so I bought a new housing(bearing on old one went out) and new ignition coil. Still didn't work. bought a whole dizzy from the junkyard and that didn't work either. I'm not getting any spark. What else could it be? Even if I did put the distributor 180 degrees out of time it would still spark, right? thanks ahead of time

DId you do any wiring? It sounds like a wire came loose or something. Check the white wires that go to the dizzy. Or check the ecu if you have been messing with those wires.. If you have a tach, make sure the connection between the tach signal wire and the wire at he dizzy or ecu is good. Just check those. Its gotta be wiring if its still not sparking.

Grounds are major too. There should be one from the valve cover to the frame. Wiring harness to thermostat housing. Battery to frame, and battery to motor(or clutch bracket), another should be on the alternator and one for starter, two obvious but. Some have a ground from the top valve cover bolt to another valve cover bolt. I think that should be it.

i took off all the grounds, cleaned them up and put them back on, is there anything else between the ecu and dizzy that could cause it not to spark? I'm also going through and resoldering all of my wiring that I've done.

so I switched a few of my parts and some of the junkyard parts on the distributor and got a spark. Still won't start. I think its flooded. I've tried starting so many times. Could that be it?
