will a crx dash fit into my 90 civic si iv herd the guage pods are different sizes and what about the stero mounting and heating controls .. has anyone attempetd this swap ..... i need some advice

I haven't done it myself but it myself but it has been done though...

 

My friend has done it in his '90 Si. I've just pulled the dash in a '90 CRX that will be going into my '88 DX. My friend says it is a straight forward swap. It should take less than an hour to pull your dash and install the new one.

 

i had a crx dash in my 91civic, fit good, looked good too

 

so this does bolt right on? I can pick up a CRX dash for $40 at my junkyard with exchange... anyone know what tools are needed?

and to answer your questions, I think the climate control is exactly the same (CRX to Civic) and they both came with the same radio bracket.

 

The climate controls from a CRX and a Civic are different....

 

the bracket under the radio (on the floor) doesn't line up. i just used zip ties to mount it.

this was an 88 crx si dash into an 89 civic si.

 

ha, I zip tied mine to, i was like f**k it. Here's a link to a post of mine that has picts of my dash swap. It's not hard but it's tedious. Then again, i painted mine so it took a lot longer then it would normally.
