Default 14.1@101mph... how much better could I do?

88 CRX Si, fully gutted except dash.

B20Vtec, Arias 11.6 pistons, Eagle forged rods, I/H/E, Clutchmasters Stage IV and 7.5lb flywheel. Tein HA coilovers set to full stiff in the rear, about mid-way in the front. Kumho Ecsta 712 tires all around... this is what I ran:

I now have Falken Azenis on the car and hoping to get into the 13s. What times should I be hitting? What 60' times should I be hitting with Azenis?

From what I'm hearing, I should be running way better ET's for my setup..

Get some slicks, and your 60's will drop bringing you in to the 13's. My friend has as of right now un tuned 169whp and is doing 13.8 inhis gs-r. 2 step at 8300. He's cutting 1.9 60's and .5xx R/T

Good god. With those traps you should be down atleast a half to almost a full second.

I went to the track yesterday for the frist time and i was running 13.769 at 102.69 with 2.201 60 foot , and i ran a 14.299 at 102.44 with a 2.373 60 foot. i was on drag radials but i was wheel spin and hopping all frist and boging second. i think my car has more in it and i need more help getting off the line. i also would like to know how much better could i do? I have a 92 vx with a b18c swap/w lsd full interior and vx wheels in back.

Mr. Milano is right. You'll definitely be in the low 13's possibly high 12's with slicks. Just as a comparison I ran 13.1 @ 102.7 mph (1.9-60' time) and I'm still getting used to my slicks.

Holy ****. But remember... slicks = better traction = lower traps. I would probably only trap high 90's on slicks, if I do 101 on street tires.

i think you need to part that pos out and get a real motor built, i can go faster than that in a b16.

if those tein coilovers have rebound adjustment turn the rebound in the front all the way up. To try and prevent the nose from raising when you launch. Also a good idea is to get the slicks. Another good tip is to watch your car when it launches and guess about how much the front raised on launch. If it's 2" than go to the alignement shop raise the front 2" and have him set everything to 0 with just a little toe in, because the wheels tend to toe out when you launch. try this along with different tire pressures and see how you do. Best of luck

yes, slicks will lower your 60fts...

my friend ran a 13.97 @ 101 mph on nitto NT555Rs with a 2.2 60 ft.

Drop the 60 ft and you will be in the 13's.

Judging by your launch you'd probably be faster with 100ftlbs

With slicks and that power you should be gracing the high 12 sec area without question....unless you cant drive then low 13's on drag radials should be about right.

For comparison I ran a 13.63@101 with an EK, 00 ITR motor (I/H) and drag radials....with much less torque and only revving to 8000rpm....on a 2.08 60'

With a CRX lightly gutted (no rear panels, spare, jack, passenger seat) I think on drags you would go 13.20@99-100 easy with a 2.0 launch or there abouts.

And before you knock B16's there is a B16 EG hatch here running 13.50's on slicks.....@ 3000ft elevation with a little over 100ftlbs of TQ which is basically a 12.90-13.0 at sea level....B16a + JUN 3's+ JUN header and flywheel...thats it..a motor anyone could build.

Get some drag radials and practice....the 12's are calling.

And one running 13.9's on I/H/E and street tires

may not be your kind of fun.... but its not that much better when you have a built motor and cant run as fast as a stock b16.

not slamming you but i would be the one to knock on b16's when the are sitting right next to you down the track.

in my stock b16a crx i ran 14.27@97 with 2.24 60ft with some shitty 14" bridgestones...... so much for the 100ft-lbs torque eh???

BTW with my stock GSR block and stock b16a head i ran 13.20@103 with stock ecu and everything. that was on 20x6 m/t slicks with a 1.82 60fts and gutted interior CRX. so you should easily be in 12's since i will be hitting 12.90's this year with same setup with stock gsr head.

anyways get some slicks on that bitch and hit some 12's!!!!! hehe

Sorry, didn't mean it to come as if I was bashing on the B16's... they can be great for top end drag racing... but this is also my daily driver, and when you get 90% of 141ft-lbs @ the wheel @ 2000rpm, it makes the car just *that* much more enjoyable to drive.

I'll see if I can get 13s this weekend at the track.

at 101 mph you should be at lower e.t..i ran 13.80's at 95 mph if that helps you..at 101 mph my friend ran 13.20's..get some better slicks and practice on getting traction and you should do low 13's easily..

with Azenis u should be able to bust a 2.1-2.2 60ft time off, which will get u into the mid to high 13's. some slicks and u will be hitting low 13's.

you lost .6 seconds in the first 60 feet.

Low 13's on 22x8x13's would be easy.

I think your right, slicks/azenis are gonna take a mph or two out of your top end. I can't see low 13's with 99 or 100 mph. MAYBE mid 13's...

I have azenis and I run a 2.15 60ft time with them and my fastest et was 14.4. I ran again about a hundred pouns lighter with slicks and I ran a 13.8. And if you get 13 inch slicks it will not make your trap go down. I normally run 205/15 with 13 inch bogarts I ran 2 miles an hour faster in my trap. The best psi I have found is 15 in the Azenis

Buy the looks of the mph and time it seems to me the car might have a 4.26 final drive (please tell us your final drive ratio)
We built some B20 vtec.One was in stock 96 hatch:B20 block,11.5 arias,stock first gen B16 head with jun 3s,eagle rods,leitner sleeves,63 mm throttle body,d/c 4-1 header,
99sir trans,Hondata,and slicks.best et of 12.93@107 with full interior
Weight of car 2288 lbs,driver a extra 210 lbs
the motor dynoed just under 200 wheel hp(196)
We have a 90 crx with full interior with B20 block(stock) GSR head with type r internals,Hondata,4.4 trans/sld 12.92@108 sorry no dyno figures(estimate195 hp and 145 tq) this car also uses slicks
Just to give an example of what a real slick can do.
The 96 civic mentioned above ran with and without slicks. These are the results
No slicks:13.45@105 and 13.42@105
slicks:12.93@107 and 12.95@107
The street tires are RE1s with 60 treadwear and hook up insanely on the street, but
at the track they slip all over the place
