Well it finally happened, # 819 is gone

I parked my car in an open area around 9:10 p.m., movie finished around 11:15, I walk outside, and BANG.....there was a red cavalier parked where I WAS.

I started freaking, and asked to speak with security, only to find that they have no security dept. @ colossus

I was sooo pissed, and still in shock, but I honestly can't say that I'm surprised b/c its a known fact that Type-R's get jacked........whatever, life sucks......I'm gett'n outta the seen......**** it, its not worth it

List of mods for those who care:
- 4000k HID's
- H&R Sport Springs
- 16' Volks TE-37's wrapped in Dunlop SP900's
- Kenwood kick *** deck (can't remember model #)
- 2 10' Rockforfosgate Subs, Kenwood 600 watt amp
- AEM CAI
- XACT Prolite Flywheel
- JDM 4.7 FD
(The FD and flywheel weren't even installed 3 weeks ago! )

Anyone know Dan's website? I wan't to see if he can fax me another reciept for the Volks?

Man, sorry to hear about your loss.
This IS getting ridiculous.

But I do wonder why anyone with an R would ever park at a mall or movie theater. All the ******** of the world hang out there. and theifs. but they are ********, so I guess I already made mention of them.

Regardless of that, I'm sorry. It does suck that we have to worry about where we can/cannot park. It hardly feels like a free country when you have to debate whether the risk/reward factor is in your favor when parking your car, etc.

I am sorry to hear that, but its just common sense that you do not take your ARRR to the theater or the mall unless you have an excellent security system. Boomerang is pretty cheap for the peace of mind.

Heck, I don't even take my GSR to the movies or the mall. I don't park anywhere out of pager range. That is just the reality of driving a Type R

 

I am sorry ot hear about your loss man. Thieves suck.

I was driving my friend's E46 M3 around last night and my girlfriend asked me if I would rather have that car than my R. I told her if I had to worry more about theft I would rather have the M3. I commute to school, and even though it has been 3 semesters I have been parking my car at school, I still worry constantly about it disappearing, I can't wait until my GTi is done and on the road.

Again, I am sorry for your loss and best of luck with your insurance company and whatever you buy next.

 

That SUCKS. But in all honesty, that is probally the worst theatre to leave your car at. If i go to weston and 7 plaza I stick with my car. That place is filled with crooks.

I grew up here my whole life, I never woulda thought my car woulda got jacked in my own area........

 

what color were the te37's and were there any distinguishing marks (curb rash, nicks, etc)?

I always hear horror stories outa woodbridge about cars getting jacked there sorry for the loss I hope you find them f***s

Yeah.. Especially at that location... it’s a good place for theft... huge parking lot and close to a major highway for an easy get away.

Fuggin people... I like to know where were the cops? I mean, I roll a stop and BANG, Joe Q. Smith police office is fricken got the ticket done before I stop... but, when my car gets broken into 2 and when my house gets broken into so they can try to grab my R.... they don’t even show up to the call....

I say, we rent a VAN, 5 or 6 guys hide in it.... I will park my R as bait and wait for the *****'s with bat's.... never under estimate the predictability of stupidity....

They were gunmetal, and one was curbed very lightly, but still noticable......I'll know what too look for next time I see TE's

I am sorry to hear of your loss Jason.. It wasn't even 3 weekes when we worked on your car and now it is gone......anyway take it easy man, and don't do anything stupid or you will get into even bigger problems....... hopefully your insurance will compensates for your loss..

we need some VANS... something with either no windows or very tinted ones...

i have some moto's we can use... we will park my R around the area yours got jacked... we will of course plan this out and perform some trial runs during the day... but i will basically get at the location 15-20 minutes before a movie playing in and around 9:30 PM range starts... I will park my car... I will walk into the thearte... we should have two VANs... one located within 10 second running distance from the car... this VAN will have the majority of people in the back... one person in this VAN will be on one moto... then I will get into another VAN waiting near the enterance and it will drive me from the enterance of the theater to a location further from the car...... I will be on the other moto... then we wait.... man, if someone tries to rip my car.... wow.. there night is going from bad to hella bad in about 10 seconds....

We could even have another car just as another lookout.... I have 3 moto radios...

 

WOW this is close to home, I'm feeling at least a little of your pain - I'll keep an eye out for any of those parts, and I've already emailed my friends to keep on the lookout and to help educate them on the fact that it seems no ones car is safe anymore - people need to learn some repect.

Well sorry to hear about what happened to your car. But it really is a hassel driving an R around. You can not go to the mall, movies, shopping plaza. Damn, pretty soon you will not be able to take it out of your garages.

Damn thieves need to learn a lesson, and I think that one thief should be caught and some people make an example out of him for the other thieves in the area.
Thieves suck bro and should be put through extreme pain as a lesson.

If your R is found hopefully she is in one piece..doubtful, but don't give up hope bro. Good luck.
