i was thinking 3000 is too low for 5th gear, but tha's like 45-55 mph. so just how low is too low for 5th gear? of course i know 2000 and below is.

i just want to know at what rpm do you decide "my motor will perform better if i down ****" regular driving conditions, not racing.

 

5th gear is overdrive. its meant for better gas mileage at higher speeds. it doesnt matter what rpm your at, your going to be moving at 50+ anyways. if your going to race around that speed, you should still be in 3rd or 4th.
