SRR final drive
Had myne installed a few weeks ago. For those who dont know, it is exactly the same as the ATS. Its 4.929 and only HALF the price. I strongly recomend it, great bang for the buck.
i agree and disagree, SRR is a decently reputable company, and just cause it's half price doesn't mean it's a inferior product to the ATS. But i still agree it has to be proven to be a good product before you say it's just as good as an ATS
part of why ats costs alot is because you need to buy the extra jdm first gear and other parts
suprised most people havent figured out that jdm stuff costs more to the american (or other) counterpart at equivelent quality level.
I wish srr had the fd out before I bought my ats.

SRR gear is $590. ATS is $735 (os so). Not really 1/2 price.
The install should be much easier since there is no need for the 1st gear change and no need for a gear puller though.
SRR stuff seems to be OK, lets see how they hold up and jedge them then.

You're only replacing the counter shaft with the ATS because you're installing the JDM 1st. No 1st, no counter shaft would be my assumption.

If you shop around you can pick one up for 450 american no problem. I found a bunch of them for sale at that price. I picked myne up in toronto for under 700 canadian. I was quoted at 750 american for the ATS which at the time equaled 1162.50 canadian plus shipping. Not quite half price but it saved me at least a good 500 bucks.
I'll obviously let you guys know if something goes wrong with it. Just wanted to say i am satisfied with it.

n00b question:
I have the JDM ITR tranny, all this talk of replacing the first and **** for the ATS is kinda confusing me....Would the SRR just install right in or no? I assume the ATS 4.928 I could get cheaper b/c I wouldn't need the extra parts....am I way off, or not...help...

Just to let you guys know.
As an SRR dealer/distributor. we have been trying to get the SRR FD for the B series for so long. THey are in a crazy back order. if any are interested in a set, please let me know. We are taking a list of people who are interested that we'll call up just in case the Manuf date is bumped up. right now, we have 20sets on order, and who knows, that might be pre-ordered before it even gets here.
And if we get more people... possibility that it can be produced faster.
Just let me know guys,
Wil
