Default Decisions Decisions (choosing new bike)

im heading back to Japan in 2 weeks, and ive got some $$$$ saved up for a bike (used though)
I decided to ditch all my 2 stroke bikes i have now (other than a nsr50 that ill be racing with), and instead get something else.

my choices of now are:
CB400SF VTEC http://www.honda.co.jp/CB400SF...f.wmv

Ducati Monster 400

or back to my origin:
NSR250SE MC21

EDIT:
Ill add a CRM250AR to my choice

what would you choose and why? any other suggestions on bikes?

that cb400 with vtec looks neat! the exhaust on the video sounded aftermarket, do they have less restrictive laws in other countries allowing stock exhausts to be that loud? i'd love to ride one of those to see what its like. actually it would be cool to import something like that and ride it on the streets here.

the laws here for loudness of exhaust isnt too strict for motorcycles. so i think thats stock sound. yeah.. the cb400sf vtec would be nice to have... but i want all of them! hehehe

i am guessing the cbr400 is a 5speed. i wonder how it would do on the highway at 90mph. i would love to sport something like that. i could own 5 motorcycles like nothing, if i could afford them.

its actually a 6 speed

ive ridden the normal CB400SF for a while (not the VTEC) but its pretty darn fast, its only 40hp, but it feels much quicker for some reason.

contrary to the popular and uninformed opinion on this forum about needing big engines to have "fun" on a motorcycle, i think this thing would totally rock. how much does one cost, and are you bringing any of these bikes back to north america?

These are pretty cheap, the old ones, which look exactly the same, go anywhere from $500 to $3000 max. The VTEC ones are alittle more expensive and go for about $3000+ but brandnew is only about $5500. There used to be a Version S, which had brembo bakes on the front and rear. the new ones all come with this though.

the aftermarket for this bike is sooodamn huge, since its one of the best selling motorcycles in japan (not including scooters).

The competition for this bike would be:
Yamaha XJR400R

It always has come with stock rear ohlins suspension
