test drove the rsx type s today..
I recieved the brochure in the mail today and decided to call my friendly acura dealer here in northern virginia(dc area). He said come on bye, we have 2 rsx type s's on the lot. So i get there and they are both on test drive, and after about 20 mins the fully loaded model comes into the lot. I check it out while the dealer copies my liscense. Car looks money, full body kit, and optional spoiler. It's the nbp with the dark leather. Blah blah so we leave the lot and I immediatly love the smaller steering wheel that is thick and very tight feeling. THe shifter felt like it was close, and the throw was very crisp feeling. We drove with the ac on and all the windows up, even at that the power felt very strong. It felt like the tourque was definantly there even at like 3k or so.. i'm liking the new vtec-i so far. we go about five miles then turn around at this park, and i immediately see a white gsr with the ricey full clears in the back, and he gives me the look like whoa that's the new rsx.. and his boy is pointing. I look over at the salesman and he gives me that get on it look. So i take off in first, up to about 7 k or so, not abusing it just wanting to feel the crossever to vtec. Feels smooth, very strong even. The motor is quiet and the interior noise level is filled with the clean sound that the motor provides, the exhaust note was even noticable. I really liked how the car was riding/feeling. Pass the riceboy and they are gauking at the champ lol. I got on it a little, but didn't want to abuse the new rsx with 100 miles on it. It felt great even from the lower rpms, i can only imagine it like full out when it's broken in. I'm consiering buying one.. definantly a lighter color/interior than the black on black though.. definantly a

I felt the torque was ok in the RSX type S, but nowhere near the torque in my R. Thgen again I am running Toda Cams, but I still thought there would be more torque than what there was.
Overall though, a great car. I'd love to have one for daily driving. Quiet inside, great ride and "spirited" handling. I drove one with the optional body kit and I do like the look of the kit. The optional fogs look nice as well.

I drove one today too... I must say I like it... quote on the lease
$1400 down total
$340/month for 43 months.
Not bad at all... I'm considering one... well maybe the RSX Type-R
Its a nice car, but I didnt open it up.

Your quote basically translates to $24,250 for the car.
That is assuming a 55% residual after 43 months and .0033 money factor (~8%). Not bad, but you should be able to do better after 6 months when all the hype wears off by about $20 a month.
