which header should i get for my 96 ls supercharged. does anyone know where i should get it at. also should i get a carsound cat or test pipe. thanks

 

Kamazie's are best for Blown cars.

 

the kamikaze also has the 2.5 inch collector right? what type of cat should i get or should i get a test pipe. how is the quality of the kamikaze?

 

The quality is not THAT great ... not even close to the quailty of a JDM header. However, SC'ed cars love that header.

It's your choice.

 

Kamikaze quality DC ceramic coated Quality DC stainless steel quality I suggest giving the DC a Try it might just be better with the 2.5 inch collecter

 

The Endyn spec Kami has a 2-1/2" collector. I believe the other Kami's have a 2" collector. You can run a 2-1/2" CarSound cat with this header but the bolt pattern on the collector is different from the JDM type headers so be sure the cat you buy uses the proper floating flange for a Kami header. Now if you plan on running some decent psi you may want to consider a 3" exhaust and then you would use a 3" cat which are slightly more $$. The 3" cat would also have to incorporate a 2-1/2" x 3" adapter on the inlet of the cat. This will add some length to the cat assembly and cause you to have to shorten your 3" B pipe a tad but you have a very good set that will be worth a little extra time.


As for the DC JDM 2-1/2" 4-1, I was told today that the primaries are close to 34" long (I did not verify this though) and those are way too long for a FI application.

 

yeah thats the thing i'm worried about. i know that DC makes decent stuff from what i've heard. but i've never really heard of Kamikaze till i planned on getting a SC. doesn't kamikaze make a stainless steel version of the 2.5 inch header? if so wouldn't the quality be better? how are the regular dc sports 4-1 header? what about greddy or spoon or hks headers? i want a good quality product. that makes power. is there any middle ground...performance and good quality? anybody help me.
