Deepest, black-hole, mirror black there is? ->>
I'm looking for the deepest, darkest, most black-hole "suck everything in so it looks like a mirror" black there is. Anyone have suggestions for a paint code that matches this description? Or techniques in the painting process that would give me this effect? I'm welcoming any and all suggestions.
Thanks

What about clear coats? My logic would dictate that I would want multiple layers, but now you have me second guessing...
yeah you want clear coat. go to http://www.mobworks.com and talk to them, they will tell you exactly what you need.
get a good quality clearcoat, true clear coats are clear like water the lower priced suff has a yellow tint this will affect the overall "blackness"
I also found this black hole............

Bentley Black has to be the deepest black I have ever seen. Straight up Jet Black. Also, the Tuxedo Black used on old school Camaro's is also very very deep. Just don't get the **** painted from Maaco. It wont have that good of quality clear coat.
Bentley black is a jet black, but it is over rated. It is just an off the shelf tint which is used by many other car manufacturers, Chrysler, Honda, VW. So Bentley black is not only Bentley black. If you have access to Dupont Paints check out the G9900 Super Jet Black. It is blacker than the 806 Jet black, which is what the Bentley black is. Also type of clear and technique of application can affect the end result.

black is black is black...take it from a painter..just go to a automotive paint supplier and get regular black base coat..and also pick up the best clear coat they sell(its all about the clear coat)...spray your car black..spray it 4-5 times so its completly covered in black...then use that badass clear you bought and spray about 6-8 coats of clear on the car(if youve never painted before just have a professional do it).. the more clear coat you use the deeper it will look...wait a mont or so before you wetsand and buff the car..this will give you the perfect shine and depth you are looking for..
bently's only look so good because its a bently...you dont know how much time they spend on making the clear coat look perfect....all black is the same..you cant make black any blacker than black..trust me

were to take a straight black from honda and a black from bently and mix them on a scale they would have diffrent paint codes but the ingredients are the same (plus or minus clear binder)..trust me..ive painted bently's, cadillac's, ferrari's, hummer's, chevy's, honda's, lexus', infinity's, bmw's, ford's, hyundai's, and every other car maker out there...i paint ferrari's at lakeforest motorsports (lakeforestmotorsports.com)
