This lady is selling me an '86 Accord. It is 5 speed and has nice paint, and is in very good condition. I have an '89 hatch that is my daily driver. It has a B16, but I want to let it rest and park it so that I can work on it. My question is this should I buy the Accord. She wants $500 for the car. Has anyone heard of anyone swapping an H22 into this car and how hard is it, and how expensive. What other swap alternatives do I have? What do you guys think? I am going to leave the body stock except for lowering it and some rims that I have. I'm sure that it is not very powerful the way it is so I want a little bit more power. Like a stock H22 or anything else that you guys have heard of....

 

Keep it stock. Put your time, energy and money into a real race-car, not an '86 Accord. That car is a grocery getter.

 

a h22 is possible but it just isnt worth doing because you would have to make the mounts but i would stick with the b series motor swap for that car.. check out http://www.3geez.com they would be able to tell you what engines are the cheapest and easiest to install in that car
