Well I finally sold the R on Saturday and boy was I sad to see it go. I had really grown attatched to that car over the past few years and didnt realize it till she was gone. I think that I will once again some day be a proud owner of a DC2 R .

Here are some last pics of #618.....she is now at Gunn Acura on their used car lot and can be obtained for a cool $24,000 (no not a typo)

So far I liked the R better, I mean these are two totally different cars but the R was just a blast to toss around and plus I am still breaking in the STi. Pretty much all the reviews are on the money. Lots and lots of Torque all across the RPM range, even in 6th gear! The car does have an understeering problem as stated by many critics but its not all that bad and it still handles great. The ride is solid and rough and the interior is somewhat luxo. I am happy with my purchase and I will give a better reveiw once it is broken in and I have gotten a good feel for it. Just thought I'd share.

Congratulations on the new car!

I have been debating the STi for a long time now, so I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions after youv'e had it for a while.

 

I felt the same way when I sold mine. I hope to have another someday. Even though the car I replaced my R with is newer and it gets high school boys more excited, the R will always stand out in my mind for its superb engineering and focused purpose.

both cars are nice, I've heard white STi is kinda hard to get, I've heard only 2 white ones available in Canada.

I will give some better feedback once she is broken in and have had some fun with it. Price actually wasnt that bad and the dealer didnt try a markup or stick me with a buncha ****...I actually got it for slightly under MSRP. All I have to say is this thing is fast!

"Stuck with an R"... sometimes I wonder how many people have ever said that. I certainly haven't. I dreamed about an R for 2 years before owning one, and now I love every minute behind the wheel.
