Hey y'all. I'm a newbie to this site. Currently driving a 98 GSR but will be selling it (buying a house - gotta get rid of the car payment). I'm partial to Hondas and always liked this body style.

Anything I should be looking for when shopping around? And what am I looking at in terms of mods. I won't be racing it, just looking to add a little extra oomph (it'll be rough going from the rush of a VTEC to a plain 4-banger).

Any help is appreciated...

 

Well in terms of mods double digit gains from header and quite a bit from intake and exhaust also. You should check for good cv joints, and if it's a 90-91 si check for oil consumption.

 

go with a 90-91 lude. best looking in my opinion. The tail lights and front bumper are the only differences on the out side. The inside has a few diferences but nothing major. I woulnd't get 4ws tho casue the seals leak and its a lot to fix it. plus if you get the 2.1 motor (90-91) its a little more power than the 2.0 (89-back). I think the only other options were ABS. Thats your call on that. I think the 88-89 si was the only model to come with power locks and 4WS. But I bought an 89 and gutted it of the power locks and it was plug and play. p.s. I have a 90 SI.
