Hello all,

I just finished putting in my new sound system over the weekend. Everything came out perfect, but when I was finished my SRS Airbag light was on. Anyone have any ideas of why this might of came on.

if you pulled the fuse or disconnected the power, that will cause the lite to go on

 

Try a quick search and see what you come up with. I had to reset the memory in my car in order to turn off the light after removing a front seat just recently, so the answer should be here.

 

This is what I pulled of a how-to a while ago.

1) Turn ignition switch off
2) Connect the scs service connector to the MES connector. Do not use a jumper wire
3) Turn ignition switch to on
4) The SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds, and then go off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on
5) The SRS indicator will come on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector to the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on.
6) When the SRS indicator light goes off, remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds.
7) The SRS indicator light will blink 2 times indicating that the memory has been erased
8)Turn the ignition switch to off and wait for 10 seconds.

Someone correct me if I missed anything.

 

Great, Thanks guys for the fast replys.....I took out my front seats and thats what triggered the SRS Light. I will try doing what your guys instructions say.. Thanks again
