hi everyone, i have a 94 ls and i have 123,000 miles and i am going to do ls/vtec and i was wondering what should i do to rebuild the block so its practically brand new. pistons,......? what do u guys recommend and if i use a b16 head is it good to use ITR pistons? any suggestions

if u wanna rebuild ur block soo it feels new, you should get new pistons, rings, and rods...use arp head bolts and rod bolts and new honda bearings...and choose wisely on what ur gonna do.....low compression if u gonna go turbo .... or high if your going allmotor....b16 is a cheaper alternative to ur lsvtec....also have a good shop or person do ur motor....u dont' want to ruin it....

i dont know about compression numbers with those...but i know its gonna be above 10-1

 

Check out http://crvtec.com. It's for doing a B20 VTEC motor, but the info is similar to your proposed LS/VTEC combo. They have more info than you can shake a stick at.
