Default 2004 ECHC suggestion

Can the ECHC have a 6 hour endurance race for the 2004 season? Maybe a day/night race?

Depends on the schedule for the weekend. A 6 hour enduro would possibly be stretching it for us, since we've already got all the other race and HPDE groups in the mix.

try the VIR Valentine Day 3 hour

it could possbily be incorporated into a HC event

there were 2 HC cars in it this year and will probably be 3 or 4 in it next year

Incorporating an enduro race into a sprint-race series' season seems problematic.

I wouldn't see it being a problem if it was not for points, more for show

I understand the position of trying to blend an enduro with a sprint race series. I'm still trying to figure out how a 3 hour race is considered an enduro. I do the 12 hours at the point and at Homestead now. I was just wondering if ECHC would go in that direction for a hyperfest like starting at 4 and ending at 10pm. Just my 2 cents. But thanks for the consideration.

v/r,
Larry

The title says 6 hours - but even @ 3 hours, racing 9 times longer than you're used to seems like a big difference to me.

NASA puts on a couple of enduros throughout the year and are open to HC classes. Even if we were to put an enduro on the schedule, I don't see any way it could count for points. (IMHO, HC is a sprint race series and should stay that way.)

A couple of ECHC guys have ran the Feb NASA enduro, if you guys want to run that get a bunch of ECHC cars and drivers together and go at it.

JeffS-One person driving 3 hours is a long time. FYI, typically "Enduro's" have multiple drivers which means usually driver changes. Check your math bro as well. 9 times longer lol sorry I'm not talking about karting. I think you're lost and not in the karting forum. http://www.allsportgp.com there you go.

How long do you think our sprint races are?

A typical race for us is 20-25 minutes, so he's not far off.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I was using the schedule from the last Hyperfest which was 30 minutes.
