I personally know the guy who owned the 1st gen Eclipse from the last streetcar shootout. His name is Dan. He has a full street trim Eclipse, including system and all. It makes 500-600 whp or somewhere in the vicinity of, runs low low 10's.. Ran 11's in the shottout. has run best of 10.4 - 10.5 or something like that. I know this doesnt matter at all. I just thought it was cool for someone I know to be in the running thats all. BTW: Congratualtions for getting selected. I am going to vote for you...

I thought I didn't make it, cus noone said anything to me...so I was at the bookstore and *Boom*, saw my car in there. Pretty messed up, huh?
The Magazine JUST came out, and alot of subscription peeps haven't even gotten theres, so It's not too late. Voting goes till July 15th.

I believe #24 is also a fellow honda-techer. Both of you would be getting my votes even if you weren't on honda-tech. Those are two of the baddest hatches I've seen.

BTW, I just read your for sale section. I feel your pain man. I lost the valves in my stock with only 44,000 mi 93 GSX 2 months ago, pulling out of my driveway. Haven't fixed it, don't know if I should bother. See you in Tx.

Bah, I'm just selling that POS as is...Im redoing the T-belt tomorrow cus I heard if its off 2 degrees, it wont start...so maybe its not blown.

I'm #24. I'm hoping for 550+whp by then but just breaking the new motor in now. Btw I voted for superdave and the other grabber blue hatch. I think the mag will only let on Civic in though.

What are you doing to your car to cope with 100deg+ Heat with that kinda power?

Just a pwr radiator. I would only try any run 550+ on the dyno and at the strip. Then I would turn the boost down to the 375whp area for everything else. 375-400whp has been no problem over the past 10 mos even at track events.

Godd luck guys, it's cool that you might get to compete. Turbo NSX looks badass but overall there are alot of crazy cars. People claiming some pretty good setups and high hp #'s. hopefully no one is bullshitting like the 3000 gt from the first one.
