alright i used the search and found nothing so i dont know if anyone has done or is it not possible ... i was wondering if it was possible to put a 2nd GEN B16 head on a DOHC ZC motor???? replies would be nice.. thanx

zc is more like d series

It is a D series, known as a d16a8 and a9.

no. b and d are different

 

i already new that d is different from b but the thing is it just isn't calculating in my head. its not registering correctly. i was wondering if anyone can explain why it wouldnt match up... both are 1.6 dohc ... just one is no-vtec

 

a b16 is about 3 inches wider over all. it wont work.

B-series and D-series are different in every way. Very few, if any, parts from a B-series will work on a D-series. Think of it like the difference between an 87 CRX and an 88 CRX; completely different design, different engineering, etc.

B rods will fit with some mods to the block.... I heard anyway.
