Review: Blue Away on SS header
This stuff works. I was getting quite annoyed at the bluish purple marks on my header caused by installation without gloves. I tried everything and couldn't get it off. After reading some of the recommendations from other members, I finally got some blue away (really difficult to find in Canada for some reason). Most of the stuff wiped off immediately, while some spots required a little more elbow grease. My header is almost as good as new now and it has that golden shine again.
note: Blue Away could be a little abrasive if you rub it repeatedly. I didn't know that at first and I dulled out a small part of my header. I also stinks like crap and costs quite a bit for such a small bottle

I don't think so; I've tried looking everywhere.
You could find them at some golf stores or motorcycle stores

Blue Away can be bought at most motorcycle dealerships. They use it for pipes on bike's. I have some at the shop I work at. There is also this stuff called Blue Job that we sell as well and I hear it works a little better but I havent tested it yet. Its a funny name and it even has a set of lips on the cover. It is a little abrasive like you said so dont rub too hard or you will scratch your header.

I too can attest to this stuff working very well
It takes a bit of elbow grease and some time, but it will eventually turn the header completely silver again. Of course once you run the car for awhile again itll turn goldish color. Ill take some pics this evening.
EDIT: I got mine from http://www.golfworks.com

to prevent it from scratching, apply more of the blue away to the surface...this causes less friction and abrasion
mires: I would be totally interested in GB if you ship to Canada

I said Id take a pic, so here you go. I dont have a before pic, but go outside and look at your header and if it is gold and purple and all gross looking, thats what mine looked like before the polish. this is now, and it should turn nice and evenly gold once I take it for a drive or two. I also used it on my radiator and strut tower bar so I can enter the local kaa showz now

No, no one told my mechanic that.
Thanks for the helpful advice though. I'll pass it along.

Look for WENOL in hardware stores.
It should be near silver polish (the stuff your Mom uses on her good silverware), Brasso and steel wool.
Looks like:
Works great - very little rubbing needed - but the cloth gets black fast - so use lots of clean cloths.
Clean with windex once you're done.
