Gs-r head to Type R block.
all i know is that the gsr head is made for more low and midrange torque....and that the SI head is a form of the type R head for lotsa top end grunt...but if u were to have a gsr head...i'd suggest gettin the type R manifold (skunk2) it'll be the same almost...all the vtec heads do good...but can be awaken with a good P&P
Compression would be raised becasue of the Combustion Chamber of the GsR head.
Major differences is the the combustion chamber, water spout location, Intake manifold bolt holes.

The GSR head has smaller combustion chambers and will give you an increase in compression thus will give you more power. Combine that with the Skunk manifold you will like. I run this combination and it works well.

the itr head is factory ported and has better flow chracteristics than the gsr head. and yes..the gsr will raise the compression slightly.
