Default Blort! Blort! Blort! Blort! Blort! Blort! Blort!

So there I was today, walking through the paddock at Lime Rock, when a car catches my eye. It was parked all the way down at the end, next to the Turner Motorsport trailer. Could it be? No, it's impossible. Wait, is it? OH MY GOD, YES IT IS! At that point, despite the fact that I was standing there by myself, I said out loud, "You have got to be ******* kidding me!"

So what was it? Scroll down and see for yourself....

It belongs to Frank Seldorff, who races one of the Turner Motorsport BMWs in touring. The kicker? This is only one of the three McLaren F1s that he owns....

Is that pic in downtown Lakeville, the storefront looks familiar? If the guy running in Touring owns 3!!!!!! F-1's, what do the people running in GT own? Now I know I don't have a big enough budget for racing. Just keep reminding yourself that in the R&T test, they said the AC doesn't work well and they overheat in hot weather, so it would not make a practical daily driver. Sigh.

The other two McLaren didn't allow to be exported, they're just sitting over in the UK only getting driven when he visits them...

hope you didn't mess your shorts all up.

For me today I was drooling over a new Turbo Porsche. Oh damn just seeing those big rear brakes wrapped in 295/30-18 P Zero tires just gave me a huge chubby!! I love big tires on a car!!!

I don't know where that was taken, it wasn't taken today. It's the same car that was at Lime Rock, but with all the rain, I didn't bring along my digital camera. Somebody had told me that there were pics of it on the Turner Motorsports site, so I took it from there. Actually, now that I think about it, those pics could be of one of the other two F1s, who knows? It was just amazing to see one in person....

I just killed a kitten.

Seriously... that mobile artwork is just sitting out there in the rain, like some beater F40 POS.

I think I could get along famously with that guy. "It's just a car" ... right?

Gotta go rob some banks, lots and lots of banks...

So here's a question for you guys. If you could pick only one, would you rather have one of those or not have one of those but race in the SWC Touring class for 10 years? Assume somehow insurance gets paid too in full for the f1. I believe both deals come out to roughly about the same, 1 million bucks. But ya can't have both! (or both plus 2 more F1s like Frank ) So what would it be?

LOL great question I personally would much rather have 10 seasons of skillz-acquisition in a class as challenging as SWC-T than ownership of something like that, which I'd have no clue how to drive so I would inevitably stuff it into a guard rail somewhere.

Jon
yes it's faster than knutz, yes it's dead-sexy, but... I'd be scared to drive it

Well this one is obviously his "beater" McLaren F1!

I still can't believe he has three. That has to be about 25% of the McLarens in the US!

If ever there was a street car that illustrates "form follows function", its this one.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

It would be more efficient to just spend the money directly on chicks in the first place...

Took these pictures a few weeks ago at an Alfa day at PR. There's just too much damn money around here. At least he actually drove it and didn't let it just sit pretty in the pits.

Funny story: They were tech'ing the car and one of the guys said, "the car doesn't have a number on it". Yeah, like there's more than one bright red Enzo on the track for us to radio in about.

Taken from the corner station at turn 5a

When MM toured Ferrari of Washington , they said they were getting one Enzo in. It is sitting in a climate controlled room not open for public viewing. its still just a damn car.

Sorry, but that McLaren car is just plain ulgy. What's make it so special? Dont get me wrong, I'd take one if it was given to me, but only to sell it to buy something else.

Now, the red car 2 posts up is perrdy.. Big for driving it on track!

I would rather have 10 years in SWC than the F1.

You know... I'm not the biggest fan of the Enzo styling... but that car looks immeasurably better on track than it does sitting still. to people who will exercise their $$$ superexotic.
