PY ITR stolen in the NoVA area. Be on the lookout...
#00-1183 Yellow. Plates: PK FLYD
Stolen some time over the weekend.
I was out of town for the weekend and the car was at Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA. The vehicle was there waiting for an insurance estimator to come out and write a claim for some damage that had been done last week. When I came back in town tonight (Mon) I drove by to check on her and she was gone. I asked the manager if they had moved it and they had no idea where it was either, so I called the police.
The last time I saw her was Thursday afternoon of last week. Pohanka hadn't even had a chance to look at it yet cause the insurance company was dragging their feet on the claim.
The only distinguishing characteristics are a honda-tech sticker in the rear quarter windows, and an AEM sticker on the rocker panel. If anyone sees or hears anything they feel might be related, feel free to contact me, or call Fairfax County Police at 703 691 2131.
Thanks, and I'll post more information when it becomes available.

Wow...stolen off the lot? All of our service cars that are staying overnight is fenced in.
I smell something very, very fishy. Insider perhaps! Key machine is there...your VIN is there.
Hell, even your key are there.

motherf*cker!!
very sorry to hear about that man. you might want to try to go after the shop for not storing it properly. If they had means to store it in a fenced in area or inside, but didnt, then you can probably win that in court. If you dont take them to court, Im sure your insurance co will want to go after the shop to get their money back since they will be paying you for the car. Good luck

I'll let the insurance company deal with the dealer if they want to take it that direction. I'm going to have my hands full trying to negotiate a settlement with the ins co.
not sure what kinda mods you had, if any, but try to find some receipts or call shops that you got parts from and see if they can fax you another receipt. If you dont get a good value for the car you can always ask for another appraisal or even go to an outside firm to get an estimate and try to reach an agreement.
Ryan, who went through all that **** recently

could've been an insider.
damn, sorry to hear. I'd make sure the insurance company is told about dragging their feet...could've avoided the bigger claim.

Sorry about your car, this really surprises me only because when my car was at Pohanka overnight they kept it in the bay. I didn't even need to ask (although I was going to), they said they wouldn't ever leave an ITR on the lot overnight. Obviously they have changed their policy. If they didn't report it stolen or make any attempts to get in touch w/ you, you should go absolutely balistic. Don't take their negligence lying down, and good luck.
How many times is it now that cars are stolen off dealers? With alll the gates and cameras, it is hard to believe it wasn't done be insiders. I will never leave my car over night in dealers, NEVER!
I wish you a speedy recovery, GodSpeed!
