How do you pin the ecu for VTEC on a d15b7 to d16z6 swap? Im not talking about the wiring diagram, Im talking about physically puttin the wires in the harness under the dash. Any help would be appreciated

if you have to ask questions like this, then you may want to leave this for a professional...if you want to learn, have them teach you. this is not something that is easy to read and learn, and messing this up could lead to more problems.

Ive got the vtec ecu but you have to run wires to the ECU for VTEC to work and it is only 2 wires

Nope, I used the DX wiring harness for my D15B7 Swap to D16z6 in my 93 DX, In order for VTEC to work You have to physically run 2 wires to the ECU for VTEC to work

electronics, car audio stores, and the like sell a RE-pinning tool. basically, it will allow you to put a pin in the harness location and then hook the wire into it. its liek $10. go check out your local car audio place.

and to all these people wha are saying "maybe you shoudl go to a pro" man, at least he knows what he has to do, which is mre than you guys obvioulsy know. stop hating on the n00b

All you have to do is get one of those eye glass repair kitts and use the little screw driver to remove the pins. The connectors have little tabs that hold the wires in place. Pull those back with the little screw driver and the wires pop right out with the pins attached. As far as getting the pins into the harness under the the dash, just run them from the shock tower through the fire wall, after that just pop them in to their propper slots. Hope this helps.

You can get the pins from a junk yard, just take them out of some other connector.

im not sure those will work... they are the wrong kind of harness plug. basically, you need to get the pin into the connector over by the passenger side shock tower on an EG/EH (im pretty sure thats what you are working with). those are round. if memory serves, radio harness are square....
