I want good HP gains but not a rice sound. I want it to be deep, yet powerful. Which do you guys prefer and tell me the pros and cons of each. TIA

 

i have an apexi N1 on my hatch an i love it.. it is a little loud but only at certian rpm's.. and vtec sounds killer with it!! as soon as i put it on i felt a huge power difference.. apexi N1=

 

apex n1=better hp gain, a bit loud (but a silencer is included)
worldsport=good hp gain, quiet

 

i have a friend with an N1 and its really not as bad as everyone says

 

its kinda akward your comparing the two, cuz the n1 is pretty loud from what i have heard from personal experience, the ws is quiet. i have a ws on my hatchback, and i love it to death.

 

I know people with both. I think i like the WS better.

The WS sounded really throaty

where the N1 sounded a little less but def louder.

 

i love the N1, but i'd get the WS if i could see the same power gains as the N1.

 

BTW, for good HP gains and a deep quiet muffler tone, there's nothing better than custom made 2.5" piping with ES oval.

 

I have WS and I love the sound, not too loud.

Yes, there is. Try custom piping with a Magnaflow. Or custom piping with a Borla. Or custom piping with a Dynomax Ultra-Flo. Or custom piping with any straight-through muffler.

i agree

 

you wont get the same sound as the ES. magnaflow's sound like ****, along with flowmaster's, Borla's sound nice as hell, ive never heard a Dynamax muffler though. i just love the sound of the ES muffler, you can barely hear it at idle, its got a deep low tone through 5,000rpms, and VTEC sounds badass.

dynamax sounds similar to magnflow.

for you slowman si i think you should try to find something like the SiR exhaust or the Mugen Exhaust...i think HKS has something similar to it...just my 2 cents

Thanks for this but this would be for an EG. I think you are relating some exhaust systems to my current car. I want to purchase an EG and looking for the best catback.

i have had the WS for about a year now, its a great exhaust. it is very quiet, almost to quiet, but when VTEC ingages, it gets pretty loud. selling it to get a Type One if interested...

This is all you need to look at. Daily W/S Race N1
