Default My new EG project, what should I do?

So after much time and thought on the subject...I'm selling my teg to start a new project, the way I figure, I'll have about 5 grand to play around with putting into the EG...3 grand of that I will be using for the motor, the rest to make it look nice on the outside (cf hood, lip, wheels, suspension, etc...)
Which of the following would you do, if you had 3 grand to put into the motor of an EG...keep in mind 3 grand...

if I could do it all over again I would get a cheap LS motor ... build it.. then turbo the crap out of it.. seems like the cheapest and most bang for your buck way to get some speed... but b16 has vtec and now can probably get the obdI version pretty cheap.. damn hard decision...

h22 with a 100 shot of nitrous. Ask user "newman" on this board about that setup. I believe he ran 11 seconds in an EG.

i agree a fully built all motor gsr would be bad ***. i mean turbo b series kicks *** but hearing a bad *** all motor gsr with some bad *** cams rip sounds just as nice and u get more props for going all motor. my freind has a all motor gsr thats going in his hatch (high 13:1 compression, and alot of goodies) and i cant wait to see that car rip a turbo b16 with ease.
all in all though its up to u.

b18c1 sounds pretty good... but then again boost is fun, so i say the b16 with turbo, i can just hear the BOV now...

GSR and then turbo it later. But since that isn't an option turbo the B16.

personally I'd go h22. Its different and you could have a high 13 second all motor car that is extremely reliable. And if you need more power you could always spray a little n2o. I'm saving up for a h22 swap in my del sol right now...almost there!

i would say H22.. but then i wouldnt trust it.. i mean is this project going to be daily driven? or only for track? i mean dont get me wrong but yea an h22 would be great, but think about it... one really hard turn in your EG with that heavy *** motor, gawd that thing has too much torque i would say it will rip the motor mounts.

its gonna be daily driver...which is why im not going all out on it...just a little kick over the cx motor

any h22 hatch owners have anything to add to this?
