Where does the Air Intake Temp. sensor plug in to on a 1998 b16?
Where does the Air Intake Temp. sensor plug in to on a 1998 b16? i am assuming it is somewhere on the intake manifold but i cant find a home for it, am i blind, or is there no home for this sensor?
1998? Do you mean a 99-00 Civic Si motor, or a JDM engine?
If its the USDM DOHC Civic Si B16A2, then the IAT goes in the intake tube. Stupid design, other versions (USDM del Sol VTEC, ITR, etc) have it in a runner in the intake manifold itself.
HTH!

no its a jdm motor ( sorry i didn't make that clear in the begining). so is it in the intake pipeing? I have to smog my car tomarrow and i have this one sensor hanging down and i need to plug it in or i will fail. any pics?
Yeah, just put it in the intake pipe - mine's on the underside of my intake (Iceman) - the stock intake tube has a little port for the IAT sensor. What does your sensor look like? If its just round, then it goes in the intake pipe, if it has a little "rhomboid" flange with 2 screw holes, it goes in the intake manifold.
I don't have pics, except as shown on my site, and thats a USDM B16A2 from a 99 Civic Si. Sorry.
Good luck!
