Was jsut reading the ITR homepage.

1st and 2nd gear have TRIPLE synchros!
3-6 have double.

Also, the new motor uses valves 2mm larger than ours.

I dono. I found it to be interesting.

i wonder if it will have the same problem as the celicas, accidentally downshifting into the wrong gear and whatnot. from 5th to 2nd instead of 4th.

 

Yeah, but it's also a cable link.

never was a big fan of the cable links.

BTW, i'm hearing stuff about a flashable ECU. apparently something with the throttle mapping from the factory was too conservative so their going to reflash all the ECU's.

lol, triple syncros, is that why all the '00 stooks are having so much trouble with grinding gears? especially 2nd? hehe

news on excess tranny noise from stook: will get worse with more miles, not fixable. yay!

 

I'm kind of curious now. What does our ITR have as far as synchros? Single cone on all gears except R?

I believe new Audi's even have a synchro on the reverse gear now, so maybe the RSX does as well.
