yours is like mine so and i bet you are having trouble with the bypass valve not sitting on the pipe because the pipe has that hump. What i did was cut the hump off of the pipe with a pipe cutter and it worked really well and it did not leave any burrs, but you could use a hacksaw and a deburring tool and get the same end product. If you have any other questions just ask.

sucks, but you need to cut the pipe...
or, option B. watch where you are driving.. although sometimes puddles are unavoidable.
i've never heard of anyone seizing their motor from sucking water through their CAI....
if it's a problem, i wonder why AEM V2 has no Bypass valve option.

Just FYI, I threw a rod from sucking up water through my AEM.

I had no bypass valve, and no fender lining because it had been ripped off a few weeks earlier in a curb incident. I was coasting through my apartment parking lot going 10mph in neutral and hit a mud puddle, BAM, engine siezed, rod broken, hole in block.

The pipe is aluminum so it's easy to cut with a hacksaw. Just saw a 1.5" section out of it and replace with the bypass valve.

well, I stand corrected..
1 incident where the bypass valve may have saved a motor.
I still wonder why they have not addressed this issue with their V2.
Thanks for the info.
