Default Best all motor street set up?

I'm certain I'll get quite a few replies for this one. Just wanted to get everyody's personal opinion about their most ideal street set up for an all motor car. Street driven, pump gas, reliable and docile enough to lend to your girlfriend(Or BF).

riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

for a daily driven car i wouldnt go higher then 13:1 cr. Go with some real good cams like JUN 3's or skunk2 stage 2 and reliability shouldnt be much of an issue if its built and tuned right. alot of the motors reliability relies on the tune. dont chince on that

Why would yu lend your car to your GF? Your just asking to get it totalled or blown up when she fills it up with 87 Octane.

Anyways, ideal street all-motor setup for a puss-***? JDM ITR Motor with some bolt-ons. Real men run racegas

You gotta pull alot of timing to run 13:1. Luckily, alot of the highend pistons(RW, IBspec, etc.) dont need alot of timing for max power.

B18c1 Motor
Golden Eagle Deckplate
Golden Eagle Sleeves
95mm Eagle Stroker Crank
CP 86m 12.5:1 Pistons
Pauter Rods
Golden Eagle OEM Bored Headgasket
ARP Headstuds and bolts
Electric Water Pump
Moroso Dry-Sump Oiling System
B18c1 head with Portflow work, welded chambers, deshrouded, port, polish, valvejob..
Jun IV/Toda D's/ Rocket M25E's Cams (pick!)
TMW 52mm ITB's
JDM ITR Valvecover
Motec M800 Standalone
B16 Tranny
Quaiffe Differential
Quaiffe Ring Gear Set
DSS Stage 3 Axles

2.2L B-series. Should get close to 300whp with proper tuning!
Now that's what I call a street car motor!!!
Want to make it a race car motor? Increase the compression to like 14.5:1 and retune. BOOM! you now have a race motor..lol

That might be a slightly expensive setup. My new setup that im building is slightly more affordable for the college students and family men:

B18c1 Block
Golden Eagle Sleeved
86mm Je pistons
Eagle Rods
LS Crank
Jun IV Cams
Jun Valvesprings
Jun Retainers
Stock GSR Head
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
RPM Services 70mm TB
MSD Fuel Pump
550cc Injectors
STR Fuel Rail
Comptech IceBox
HeaderTech SS 4-1 Header w/ 3" Merge Collector
3" QTEC used along stock civic exhaust
Hondata to tune

Hopeing to make around 225 w/ a stock head, then later get my other head ported and swap heads and see how much extra power I can make.

MaxBoost I think the "JDM ITR Valvecover" might not help you as much as you think to reach 300 whp.

The following set-up is good for all-around purposes. It will not cost you a summer's worth of pay checks, and will be reliable. I dont know what kind of power you are looking to make but, here ya go.

B18C1

11.0:1 Cr pistons(Je, Ross, or anything that you prefer)
Crower Rods ( Again, something similar, even a shot-peened stock-rod)
ARP Studs
P72 Head
Toda B's, Skunk Stage 2's(Something smaller will work too...You can cut a corner with JDM CTR Cams)
Double Valve Springs, Retainers (Crower, Toda, anyone respectable. Stock Type-R's even.)
No porting, but the ports should be cleaned up any. (Machine work optional)
Stock Intake manifold (ported/ port matched to 60/62 mm Throttle Body(Erick's,BBK,TypeR)
AEM CAI
Header Tech Header ( DC 4-1, or JDM style 4-1)
Lightened FlyWheel (Not too light), Stage 2/3 ACT
Stock Ignition
AEM FPR, (Venom In-Tank Fuel Pump, or BBK)
Possibly some Prelude Vtec Injectors...(270 cc I think)
Hondata ( Not sure which model. Research this part...)
2.5" Exhaust with removable test pipe for race day(Apexi N1, Greddy Evo, something similar)
Skunk2 Drag springs, 24-way Koni's, or Adjustable Tokico's
Nitto 555 R's

If it is in the budget, balancing the rotating assembly is a plus as well. Again, this set-up is a very mild street set-up that will not yield incredible HP numbers but will be quick. It will also be extremely reliable. The above set up gives you some options so that you can tailor it to your budget. Whichever way you go, best of luck...

ITR motor 11.5-12.0:1 comp (CTR pistons w/thicker headgasket)
SMSP exhaust system (incl header $$$)
190lph pump w/ 310's
Hondata or AEM for tuning
Toda valve springs, cam gears, flywheel, Spec B's, timing belt

Clay the motor, tune it and enjoy some nice street gains without having to rip the motor apart ($$$$) I would guesstimate that with tuning 200-215whp should be about right for this setup while being street friendly and not too much dough while keeping the essecence of the ITR motor intact.

For a fully built motor there will be many opinions and methods.....choose yours and stick with it.

I vote for TREVORS old setup that made like 190 WHP all motor and like 280+ with the push of 1 little button. 11.80's?? with his 6'5" 250 pound but in it. Crazy fast.

It was reliable for the longest time, and got rediculous gas mileage.

Loan it to the girlfriend (Which is wishful thinking for alot of the internet dorks on the internet, lol) you just disconnect the NOS button...

Perfect setup.
