First off, I don't plan on doing any tuning to this car (I'll leave that to my Civic whenever I get the money and time to learn). I just want to get a factory spoiler and a gold kit including trunk handle and grill for a 1996 Accord LX. Do you guys know of any cheap places on the net for these items? I have been reading alot about the spoiler and many people claim that cheap ones aren't made of fiberglass. I would like a fiberglass spoiler(or at least one just as strong). Also there was alot of talk about most cheap spoilers not coming with the stronge trunk springs required for the extra weight. Is this REALLY necessary? Finally, how hard are these things to put on?

Anybody have any thoughts on the 'weight' issue on the spoiler regarding the need for stronger trunk supports?

 

I would say if you put the spoiler on with out stronger trunk springs you would just have to lift the trunk up yourself, instead of it just popping up on it's own. It will still unlatch, but it just wont jump up as high as it should. So if that doesn't bother you you should be safe to go, but I would say try to find a genuine Honda spoiler kit that comes with everything, including new springs, and everything else. I bought a genuine Honda spoiler kit, and got luck to find one on ebay from a Honda dealership, that was having a closeout sale. It was brand new and it included everything for $120 shipped, but It wasn't my color so I had to get it painted to my color but that only cost $100 from my favorite body shop Saturn of Des Moines.
