Master Cylinder rusted? Change out? What kind? Help.
My master cylinder is pretty much rusted all below the brake booster. Should I change this soon. I might be changing my intake manifold and alternator soon so I might as well do this too. Off what car can I get one? Just get a regular CRX one? I'm running a stock one with an integra brake booster currently.

Its not a direct fit you have to bend the lines a little to have them line up correctly. The 90-91 Civic EX is the one that is a direct fit but also costs more money than the Prelude one does.

What are the exact procedures with this? Get a junkyard one?

I would never place my life in the hands of a boneyard master cylinder...
I strongly suggest that you not do the same...get it from an autoparts store.

Well the procedure is actually extemely easy. Unbolt the lines on your old M/C unbolt the M/C itself pull it off bolt the new one on and reattach the lines. I am however just talking about the M/C and NOT the brake booster to take that out is a bit more work like having to climb under the dash to take the 4 nuts that hold it in. And as for what kind of booster and from what car I am not sure I have heard people using all sorts of different ones but until I try it myself I wouldnt be able to recommend any kind of booster but the 90-91 Civic EX M/C is a direct bolt in and the 89 Prelude you have to bend the lines a bit. Not too hard to do either so if your looking to save money go the Prelude way. I believe Driven did a very nice write up on the install of the Prelude one but I cant find it right now.
