Default My new project.

Here are some pics of my new toy. 1990 Si. Bone stock for now. It has 200K miles on in but it is in excellent shape. Body is super straight and the interior is perfect. It smokes for about 10 min upon start up,but then it quits. I plan on doing a B16 swap next spring.

just curious as to why b16?
why not a b18a/b?

you can do em both for around the same price, and if you adhere to your signature in real life, wouldn't you want something with more torque for better exit speeds when being a 'fast driver'?

Good base to start with. Project cars are always fun to mess around with. I'm doing the same kinda thing right now except I have a '92 hatch. I love just sitting outside on a hot summer day with a cold beer working on the car, always fun.

Anyways good luck with that.

Yeah and I would probably go with a B18b too, since they have nice potential (and torque) and can be found for a little cheaper than a B16a. Not that there is anything wrong with the B16a.

I may go with a B18 since I already have one in my garage that is for my Integra.

Yes to the B16. It has enough torque for that light shell and with some top half upgrades and a 9K rev limit you'll be flying in the upper RPMs. IMO the B16 has more potential in that shell then a B18 does....unless it is a B18C!

Thanks for the comments. I could not believe how super straight and clean the body is. It needs a new driver's seat and a glove box but other than that the interior is perfect.
