Any results from the Petersburg Prosolo?
I checked on the scca site and the results from Petersburg are not posted yet. Has anyone heard anything? If it was as wet there as here in upstate NY, then Suburus and Quatros won everything and the results don't mean anything for dry courses.
mike took 2nd in dsp, aj took 3rd, kC took 2nd in STX behind T. Hoppe, karen won L1(?), rodney won SM..... i know i'm missing some people. overall, h-t had quite a good representation with a lot of trophies. as far as the weather, sat. started out wet, dried out for group 3's second session, then started raining again for groups 5 and 6. sunday started out rainy, clearing up and drying out for the challenge rounds.

I took DFL in FS!
Damn cones and red lights...
Edit: It didn't help that most folks only got 2 dry runs per side. Better make those 2 runs count. So, I had a total of 120 seconds to make my transiton from Celica GTS in the dry to a Z28 in the dry, I'm actually pretty pleased with how well I did.

Yeah, the rain put a damper on my weekend. On my first right side run in the dry, I lost the back end and slid into the gravel, almost bashing the car into a telephone poll in the process. Came back, took a breather and drove 8/10ths or so on my final dry runs, ended up .9 out of the class lead because of it. With the tight spread of cars (1-4 were separated by .1 of a second) that landed me in DFL, 6th place. I figured I'd have dry runs on sunday morning to try and counter, so taking it easy after almost severely crunching the car seemed like a really good idea. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. Argh!
Great job all fellow H-T'ers. Impressive running Nate, looks like you are the real deal.
I felt like I held my own against the light, Hoosier shod VW's. I'm looking forward to D.C. where I can get the car opened up a little more.
Maybe this FSP thing ain't so bad after all.

I was standing there watching Rodney, he redlighted with a .497...it doesn't get much closer than that. I saw the other guy redlight and was like OH YEAH...then big Rod, rolls forward and doah.!
Good meeting you Rodney, it was also nice hanging with AJ...we had a great battle iun DSP... AJ nicked me by .017 seconds which relegated me to 4th. It was AJ's and I first time driving the Scooby (on stickies) and GSR so we had some learning to do but got real close to taking our car owners...may be next time huh AJ.?

All I can say is despite the rain it was a fun event. I'll use the "I had my head up my ***" excuse instead of the "I was trying to sort out the car" excuse. Either way I'll have to pick it up a notch for next time
I'm comin' for my rematch this weekend!!!!

i thought you would use the "i couldn't see the course from the black cloud of smoke my exhaust dumped out at the launch" excuse.
i think the "sorting the car" excuse and the "4th event of the season" excuse are both very valid too. in retrospect, you didn't seem very comfortable with the car, which would make sense since it was essentially a new car for you. how did the testing of the extreme settings go?
if you get the chance, go look at matt's car. :blort: is all i can say. very pimpy.

Hahaha! Yeah that was pretty sweet! Chris and I fixed that before I drove home. The volumetric efficiency table was all messed up. The car was dumping gas for WOT no matter where it was or what it was doing. That explains why I got ~14 MPG driving down. Got close to 30 going home so things are much better! It was amusing when my car showed its distaste for Eric's Sube by farting on the bumper.

3rd event
But still, I hate hiding behind excuses. Excuses won't win me races or make me faster.

Pretty good! I think I gotta add some rear tire pressure (I was gonna try this on sunday but the rain changed that). I think I wanna run the shocks about where I had them during the rain (meaning I had them too stiff in the dry). Maybe a little more rebound damping in the back. All in all tho... the car felt pretty good...
Short Version : need to get my skills so I can loosen up the whole car some to dial out the corner entry understeer!

I think I am just now starting to dry out after the weekend. I could not get the Scirocco and myself to jive over the weekend. I still had fun, but look forward to some dry runs some time...PLEASE.
Mike and AJ looked really good. Eric K is going to be tough on the pro solo courses, as expected. The only change he made from running sts is put Hoosiers on the car. A Quaiffe, seats, and other SP goodies are going in soon.

Aww, did I hurt your feelings? I'm sorry.
You aren't running the car with Eric all season so I do not know what you look like in the Fumula. I assume you will do fine, once you run it.

George needs a "signature move" to get some attention. Triangle, circle, up, L1, R2, square works for me.

Mike's car is fast...sticks...handles...awe hell...it has everything the terd of a CRX doesn't have.
I think I'll just ***** for the next couple of years before I make the transition to SP with my own car.

Glad you like it sTuNnA!!! The car was definitely hooked up. With a couple more dry runs I think I could have been in the low 26s no problem. Saturday afternoon the course was slower becuase we got rain as we were in pre-grid; not including those who had horrible runs and dirty runs in the morning, AJ and I were the only ones to improve in raw time (we were 1st and 2nd after the morning). Unfortunately, my fast left side run had a cone attached so I wound up 2nd.
I think the Subie will be tough, especially once Eric gets the diff in it, but the Teg is going to be VERY hard to beat once AJ and I get more used to driving it. Seat time, seat time, seat time...
